Your Sony Vegas , or Vegas as it is now called one of the best video editors out there, doesn’t want to open video files with the .mkv extension?
I bring you the quick and simple solution to be able to open this type of video file and be able to edit your work that seemed lost.
When we open a .mkv file in Vegas or try, it returns this error:
FIRST STEP, GO TO OPTIONS: PREFERENCES
This window will open, go to File I/O and check the Enable MKV Reader option
Click apply and restart your Vegas for the changes to take effect.
Now your Vegas will open the .mkv extension, but be careful there are versions of Vegas that don’t have this option and they won’t open .mkv videos.
Here follows my video tutorial to help you who are suffering from this problem and I bring the solution.
